LOCAL ATTRACTIONS - DISNEY WORLD

Just a 15 minute drive from Florida Orlando Holiday Homes, Disney World covers 28,000 acres and is split into a number of distinct theme parks the main ones being:

A four or five day pass is recommended and even then you will see only a fraction of what is available.

There is a transit system which includes monorails and paddle steamers and over 300 acres of car parking (remember in what zone you park your car!).

It is a world as big as imagination itself with 4 famous theme parks, fun filled water parks, 2 of the best entertainment, shopping and dining districts in the Orlando area, plus additional activities such as golf and spas.

THE MAGIC KINGDOM



7 fantastic Lands to explore that radiate from Main Street with the additional features of glittering parades, fireworks and Disney characters. You can't miss the famous Castle or classic attractions such as 'It's a Small World; Space Mountain; Buzz Lightyear's Space Rangers, Jungle Mountain and Mickey's Philharmagic - a 3D adventure, Main Street with its old time American shops and restaurants and much more.


EPCOT CENTER



The Epcot Centre is a 'teach-in' about our world. An enormous silver globe geosphere - Spaceship Earth greets you as you pass through the entrance. World showcase illustrates the various cultures, history and architecture from around the world.

The living sea is a walk-through aquarium where sharks and dolphins swim alongside many thousands of the world's aquatic fauna.

The lake is not only a quick taxi route across the centre but forms the centre of attention for the spectacular evening firework presentation.


DISNEY'S MGM STUDIOS



MGM Studios is a "behind the scenes" look at how films are made with themed rides. Two of the greatest attractions of all for thrill seekers; The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror; and the Rock 'N' roller Coaster starring Aerosmith can be found in this area.

There are all kinds of other fun, including the Studio Backlot Tour where you can experience how a production involving many stunt ride activities are put together within a film. Make a point to visit the hilarious 'Muppet vision 3D'.


DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM




Take a ride on the fantastic Kilimanjaro safaris where you can see everything from lions to zebra and hippo in this creation of the Serengeti. Enjoy the spectacular 'Festival of the Lion King' show and take a thrilling white water raft ride - Kali River Rapids - you will get soaked!!

Other attractions include 'It's Tough to be a Bug' and the exciting 'Dinosaur'.


DOWNTOWN DISNEY



One of the largest entertainment centres in the world with a full range of restaurants that are themed according to various cuisines that can be found around the world.. With a range of experiences including cinemas and shops.

Downtown Disney is one of the locations for the famous Cirque Du Soleil
